| Rodents pose a serious hazard for livestock and are therefore considered to be a critical control point in livestock production and in HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) programmes for food safety. Various laws and guidelines decree the control and eradication of rodent vectors in the vicinity of livestock and food, such as in Germany the pig farming hygiene ordinate (ShHygVO), livestock epidemic act, and the foot-and-mouth measures list. |
